Finally got the steering column installed. Now I need to plug in the connectors. I know that the harness was routed around the column and taped at the factory. cut back some of the firewall pad but if someone what to get down there and look go ahead.

route some more wiring, reinstall the brake booster, then the wheel tub and clamshell for the truck harness will get installed.
No Jeep shaft mod? Love your build, very nice.

I carried the Rusty Rad to school & wrenched a bit. Put on a better bumper, factory grille, bled the brakes, fixed fuel lines & welded the exhaust. I also took the liberty of "clearancing" the fenders to mak

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, O boy did I ever have a real Homer Simpson moment about melted down the power plant as seen in picture #1 that little piece of the old rotor that grenaded has been bouncing around in the distributor for well over a year picture #2&3 I some how managed to pinch the coil wires with the cap
I put the original coil and module back in both tested good and that's how I fixed my random misfire I also finally replaced the fuel pump wire the rodents damaged

Today’s I took the truck for a ride and delivered Christmas presents to the post office, refueled downtown with some ethanol free gas, and cruised by the waterfront on the way back home.

I heard an exhaust leak, so I tightened up the header and collector bolts- looks like I need to replace one of the fancy header gaskets. No worry, easy fix. Back to the garage, Batman!

Opened two packages from Rock Auto and LMC, anticipated a fun day of work.

But we had 2" last night so I decided to just clean up the garage and work inside the house:

I need a couple of days with sun to remove the hood and cowling, install the wiper motor and clean up the air plenum and reseal everything. I hate to have to wait until spring!!

Ordered and received a new set of stock front leafs and associated hardwsre for the K5.
It currently has 2 inches of droop, it's slammed wore out!
I think I read here it rides like a red wagon full of bricks!
I also got a set of Bilstein 4600s. Need a couple of days of not needing to drive
Its our only vehicle right now, plus my Bride is recovering from back surgery. I'm the duty driver lol!

The hardest place to spray ever inside the cab and keep it all consistent. Hat's off to ya!

Thank you! Agree, cab interior was a challenge. I guessed a day or two of prep work. It took a couple of weeks in my spare time from beginning to end for disassemble, sanding, taping, priming and painting. In a few areas I probably will wet sand and buff to finish it off. Ton of work and I’m going the easier route not doing a frame off restoration. Lots of respect for those of you that go the extra 1000 miles.
