You might be right. When I was under the truck it looks like the one that holds the Trans and it's a 2wd.

Yeah, the 4x4 x member typically supports the drivetrain at the transfer case.

Haven't done it yet, but I am going to reseal up this motor. Rear main is leaking like crazy. Pulling pan to do it, so at this point I may as well fix the timing cover cause it leaks bad. Since I was going to be pulling water pump off I was going to out a new one on, well it started leaking and pouring in the mean time so it's shot anyway. And while the timing cover is off I will put a new timing set in their cause , well I already have the cover off at that point and it won't ever be easier to do it than then. While the oil pumps off I'm going to swap it out just cause...at least I ordered it.

Will start this next week while on Christmas vacation.

The color spray is expensive. I was quoted 700.00 2 years ago to spray entire inside of bed. 500.00 for black. A few months ago I was quoted 300.00 for the black spray to bed floor only which I may do next spring. They do offer lifetime warranty. I don't haul much stuff so may be a good choice for me. I'm not wanting to do a mat that will cause floor to rust.

Anyone tried the roll on bedliner from wall mart? I think its about 50 bucks a gallon. Thought I might try it. The po had done some type liner because it's black and not all of it has come off. Lol

I used rustoleum pro grade spray on from walmart but i didnt prep it right so its comin off but looked real good when i did it

I looked for NSS wires for about twenty minutes and was about to drop the column an open my freshly jacketed under dash harness. Then I read that my truck does not have a NSS due to the gated column.

i put the herculiner black roll on in my truck's bed.

happy with it but it's only been on there 6 months or so.

Thanks @Matt69olds for the direction on what i needed in terms of those speedo gears.

(Never messed with pre-90 2wd trans speedo gears )


Since the arrival dates on my items are due after christmas, i guess ill be doing the regear over the new years, or in january.

Got the new (rebuilt) Quadrajet fitted, l can now hear & feel the secondaries kicking in, as well as a smoother idle. I still have an issue with the engine cutting out/hesitating, in the higher RPM range when l it is about to shift from low to second. Have a little work to do still.
