Took the ‘87 down to Summit today, got that hoe up to 92mph and noticed it’s got a lil shimmy at about 75. But i did pick up some new Belltech gear to go along with my dropped control arms... Waiting for a new crossmember to be delivered so I can have 2 straight pipes instead of just the one, and then I’ll be even lower. Also bout to dye this mint 76 or 77 bench for my 79.

Took it for a test drive and was really happy with it now. Shifts too soon to second for me but, don't know how to change that. Still happy tho. Much better than before.

Just pulled the pan off the 292, and as I suspected, it is basically brand new.

I'm going to do the rear main seal, pan gasket, paint it, and drop it in.

My progress as of now. A little more smoothing then I'll paint and put the finishing touches on it. But it's past beer-thirty and my bartenders are probably worried sick about me. I'll finish after closing time [emoji482]

Is it an optical illusion, or does that cylinder wall in picture #2 appear damaged?

It must be the way the oil film looks in the picture. It's a funny discoloration, but you can still see the nice cross hatch pattern through it.

I aint done ISH to my truck lately. Matter of fact - it's been in the shop forrr...SIX DAYS and not a peep from em on Friday.
:(
Sure sounds expensive.

All i've been doing lately is cursing this Civic because the gawdforsaken electric fans suck ass -but only when they work. The rest of the time it overheats..

More lectrik fans for y'all - count me OUT of that garbage. Aint no mother fvckin way in HELL I would do that to my truck.

Look. I got LaFonda tha Honda on the scales - with a full 10 gallon tank. :33:

Bonnie Blazer weighs ONE TON more and I miss her fat ass. :console:
It's WAY more comfortable AND the seats suck equal amounts of ass - no better than the Honda seats.

I HAVE started looking for different seats though. GMT 400 seats or somethin!

I noticed one of the a/c hoses I recently installed was touching the intake snorkel. This hose gets pretty hot and was starting to melt the snorkel so I made a bracket to hold it up. Just a quick little fix made from scrap metal I had laying around.

You may want to add a piece of shrink wrap to the metal tab, just to insure there's no rubbing issue with the A/C line.

Exactly like that - somethin different than I got. The ones I have a got curvy back...- my shoulders are broader than that and they are hella uncomfortable. **** digs in front of my shoulder blades. It's stupid AND I hate it. Need something without a curvy back. Know what im sayin? There are some salvage yards around I may go check out seems pointless to go shop in the Honda though.. Gmt 400 would bolt in NP wouldnt they? I had a pair of AstroVan seats with foldy armrests in a gmt400 and they were pretty comfortable. The 88 Blazer seats suck.

Wtf is it all wrappy for? Like it's a hi-G machine or somethin!? :rolleyes

Wonder if I would take the plastic out of the back and flatten it somehow...

The seats in those pictures are currently in the 92 Suburban SLE I have listed for sale here. Nobody here seems interested in it and I have one guy local here that is thinking about it but dragging his feet (quess his wife said NO) so I am to the point of starting to just part it out as much as I can and then haul the bones to the scrapper. Tired of it sitting in my yard, So if your interested let me know and we can work something out. They are in AWESOME condition, should swap easily but not sure!:drink_nl:

Mmm.
Dood that sounds like there is a good deal in there somewhere. I reckon those are about the same as the AstroVan seats mentioned..same foldy armrests..same material..hell even the same color! M-R- great seats.
*looks again*
Mmm dang.
Mine are in very good condition also and gray, if you have any interest in a TRADE? At least youd have somethin to put back in the truck..You're not too far away huh? I bet it's as easy as unbolting one and bolting in the other.
Mmm dang.
You know my junk is in the shop..it'll be out next week though.
What's my price on them deals?
You got it figured in your head? - the logistics? Lmk. I'm very interested in making a deal but my house is in Oklahoma City. Youre north of Dallas im thinkin? Does it say on the profile?

Wichita Falls is not very far. 2 hours and 40 minutes says Google maps.
Keep talkin! Lookin for a vacation? Come on!
Whattaya want? What do I gotta do?

Dude I was lookin at this wonderin "how bad could it be?" :( he gots a good price...I run it to the car warsh, it'll clean up right?
