I got the adjustable ones from LSX Inovations. They're just like the other 30 companies that make an aluminum relocation mount. I just got the cheapest one of that style I could find. They kind of suck and I had to modify stuff to make it fit, but it put the transmission in the stock location. I talked to their tech support and they were pretty clueless but did offer me a refund if I wanted it. I'll probably swap them out for something better down the line.

So I forgot to take a photo of how the truck what actually sitting, so this photo will have to do for now.

Junior was trying to flex his cool truck and how it will drive through our ditch in the front yard last night when his buddies were over.

He did not use enough angle to make sure the low hanging trailer hitch would not grab the ground.
You can see the hitch in this photo.
It is all welded to the frame and hangs super low.

He got it stuck.
Imagine the truck with the grill pointed at the camera, that is the angle that it was pointing.
It sat there over night as the tire would just spin with nothing to grab.

Fast forward to this morning.
I got in the truck and started giving it hell as it was my grass that I was ******* up.
It took a bit of rocking it back and forth and a piece of wood under the tire that had no traction.
After some tire smoke from spinning on the wood I got it to start moving around and finally pulled the thing out of the ditch.

I told him to quit driving into the ditch like that.

That bald tire back there didn't help either, but all that junk/scrap metal in the bed did I'm sure!

Whelp, junior has been a busy feller this week.
The other day he removed the non functioning A/C compressor.
He also finished installing the new radiator puke tank.

Yesterday was fresh valve cover day.
Hmmmm late model aluminum ones...

Or what he settled on, a set of (Milodon removed. Thanks @idahovette ) Moroso covers I picked up at the swap meet last year.

Then he took the cap and rotor off to install the MSD module and the rotor fell apart.
Hmmm...
Perhaps that will help it run happier with a new set.
So while he installed the module with some fresh dielectric grease he also put on a fresh cap and rotor we had in the garage.

The module was also from the truck in the junkyard that gave up so much of its speed parts for our trucks use. He also had installed the coil that was with the module from the donor truck.

After the stuff was all installed it fired right up and runs like a champ.

Next up is building a used set of MSD plug wires to be the new spark wires on the truck.
At the swapmeet back in February I picked up a couple incomplete sets of used ones from the racers.
The current set of wires are a mismatched bunch of what ever he had.
A few of them are from the MSD set I have for my VW bug...
They need new ends on both sides to work on the truck and we have all of them at the house.

I spent some time updating the electrical system today. Ran 4ga cable from alternator to battery. Ran a 4ga Cable from battery ground to the frame rail. Added a 4 lug power point under the hood where I will grab power for my stereo, headlight relay set up and whatever else I may need down the road. All with 4ga cable.

I still need to add a bigger cable from my power point to the firewall distribution block and I’m probably going to backfeed the battery circuit of the fuse box to take some load off the stock wiring.

I find it amazing that GM thought an 8-10 ga wire was ok for the alternator charge cable, and for a main feed to the fuse box for everything. I’m sick of seeing my volt gauge drop at idle with headlights on or even the a/c on. I’m working my way from the power source out so everything will be good to go.

That was the first thing that I told him.
Put it in a sammich bag and throw it in the glove box.

I told him the same thing with the cooling fan.
He put that into the bed of the truck and it will stay there for a while.
