Not a what have you done, but what have you felt lol. The past week with all the wet roads I have to stay out of the throttle. I've noticed at times it feels like the 4l60e is searching for a gear or lock/unlock the torque converter at lower speeds. Could be something with the trans, not having it tuned after the LS swap, I need to calibrate the pedel (DBW), or maybe the reluctor wheel on the output shaft that I pressed on is working loose. I think if it was the relecutor wheel was loose it would act up more with an erratic speed signal.

Hope it's not the trans, kill my budget with tax funds lol. More to come I'm sure.

I’m starting to get serious about looking for round eye clips for my dually. Definitely want to do it before I start spraying paint. Keep going back and forth on buying new aftermarket replacement panels or holding out til I find good, rust free used OEM panels. May even considering buying a full truck and pulling the clip off of it. Hope to have a clip bought before summer one way or another

The premium LMC fenders seem to be of very nice quality and fit without any issues.

This was with only 10 minutes of fiddling to get them lined up

Nice! Thanks for the review. I used LMC panels when rebuilding my '77 and was happy with them at that point (10-15 years ago now) so I had been wondering how their quality was these days not knowing how things have changed with whatever vendor they use. Sounds like it may be worth the extra money to get the premium set if I end up going that route.

Got Goldie back from the tranny doc today, and took a 10 mile or so highway jaunt.

Seems to drive OK - did before, too, and no surprises on the drive.

Never did feel the TCC lock up, and he replaced the vacuum switch. He found a a GM one - I thought they were no longer made.

I guess if you know what to look for ...

Speaking of switches, someone here suggested I put a toggle switch to control the lockup.

Well, turns out the mystery 3rd switch on the dash was exactly that - he had to trace wires and troubleshoot.

Sorry, doc - I had no idea what that was...

I'll experiment more to see if the lockup works this coming week.

Oh, she still has the squeal in reverse- no idea what that is, but it was there before, too.

New vacuum modulator, so doubt that is it.

Nice to have her back - feels like home.:)

Now have a core support and should have two fenders after work on Tuesday. Need hood, inner fenders and the odds and ends. Might take a while because I’m holding out for good deals as the come along :)

Started repairing the damage from my accident. Repainted a new driver's side fender acquired from @78C10BigTen. Took off the bumper to fit my clean junkyard find bumper with factory fog lights. Hope to have it all back together tomorrow! I didn't build my truck for perfection or look nice, I made and maintain it for functionality. So that's my goal throughout my mediocre body work :anitoof:

Also took this time as an opportunity to replace the header gaskets. I couldn't take the ticking anymore. Sounds like brand new now! I'm also redo-ing the exhaust since my original setup fell apart.

I put the badge in my decal collection ;) and I did use the marker light since my old one is smashed to pieces somewhere out on a dirt road
