Nothing wrong with red wires. I switch back and forth occasionally. If they were pink and everything was clean and the little details done right, it would still look good. One thing I don't do, and never have, is hate on someone else's taste. Would definitely be a boring hobby if we all looked the same.
I agree, nothing wrong with red. Especially in a show truck with a high performance engine like yours. I tend to overthink everything.

Yeah, those are cool.
I never really got in to the old school stuff, but it's neat. I remember the first time I shot a flintlock when I was a kid. It was actually at boy scout camp.
They had these Confederate hats pinned to rebar posts that we could shoot at. The hats were supposed to spin on the posts when you hit them, but I blew one clean off on my first shot and this old man was laughing his ass off.
It was a total luck shot, though. I wasn't prepared for the huge delay at all, and just as easily could have shot dirt or the sky. :D

My grandfather told me stories about an old flintlock they had when he was a kid. They used it to kill hogs for slaughter. He mentioned the delay and said you had to track the hog around the lot after you pulled the trigger to not miss. They called it "ole long fire" because of how long it took to fire. haha

I used to show her a lot but she's far from a show truck. I just like keeping her clean. I reckon that's the curse of having a decent paint job.

That's funny, especially knowing hogs. I can't imagine using a flintlock once they get wise to what's happening. A .22 is hard enough. Lol....

I waited two days to hang my mirror on the tab. It’s on there but it’s also parked at home and hasn’t moved, we shall see how it does. I did some trimming and grinding on he bed. Replaced the radiator cap that was leaking and ripped off the radiator. Washed and spray detailed the truck. Inside still smells like mouse piss on a humid hot day [emoji24]

Pulled the valve covers off just to do a little inspection and check things out since the engine now has about 500 miles on it.

Did you remove the heater box and ducting to wash and bleach it all?

I was going to recommend "nature's miracle" pet stain and odor eliminator. My sister bought some for a cat mess and it was ******* amazing, but when I looked on Amazon, the first 10 reviews are all 1 star saying they changed the formula and now it sucks after 20yrs of being awesome. Lol..
I have some of the old **** she gave me. It took blueberry stains off a tan couch.
I'm sure there's some type of new eliminator that will kick it's ass. Maybe just fabreze.

I found something that is CIO2 and the gas supposedly removes almost any odor permanently, some hefty claims but I may try it.
