Lol, so you noticed the little 5 year old off playing in the crop field? :)

There's our 10 here, plus one of my nephews right now. My oldest graduates this year and he had to have senior pictures taken and he wanted them with the Suburban. So my wife used that as an excuse to get pictures of all the kids. Plus my father and step mom too, lol.
Yea saw her over there too!!

Had a little more shop time this afternoon...Got the bumper bolts welded on the back side, and the heads ground off the front side. Not done yet, still going to weld the fronts and grind them smooth. Probably going to wire wheel the whole bumper. Still progress is progress.

Sucked out the old brown brake fluid and wiped the rust out of the Mc.

Poured what fluid I had back in as to not get air in there.

It's at minimum level now. I'm gonna need to replace the back break cylinders and pads. Front pads too. Then I'll need to bleed and replace all the fluid because of how nasty it is.

What's the best way to flush the system? I have the bottle made so I can do it myself.

While I'm at it should I change this too? Maybe my brake light will go off. Lol

Got the '88 on Sunday, had it towed for MANY reasons (no driveshafts, doesn't start but apparently it does, some damaged wiring, etc.) Got my first crack at it to get it running, put a new battery in and repaired some obvious wiring. Cleaned the terminals and main grounds and got it to turn over ONCE. Think battery might be dead already, been sitting a while (especially in winter here) so i pulled the '80 up for a jump, got it to turn over again but quickly died, no more starter clicking. Put a small hammer to it, still nothing. Got too dark to further diagnose, there's always tomorrow

When I got my truck, the fluid was bad like that and brake light on but only the rear reservoir. Removed lines from MC, disconnected rear lines from wheel cylinders blew out the line with air hose. New MC, wheel cylinders, bled and all worked well and has in the last 6 years.

Best way I have found to flush the brake lines is...go to Harbor Freight and and buy the hand vacuum pump, and make sure you keep the MC full, and start at the farthest wheel. Honestly if you have that much rust in your lines, might be easier, and cheaper just to replace them...

I think they have a few different kits

Yesterday took brown out for a drive with no destination in mind. Just putzing around with my boy enjoying the weather with the windows down and the exhaust up.

Spotted this sweet square...not a huge fan of gloss black on a vehicle but an afternoon with a stock hood and a rattlecan of graphite grey for the wheels and we're in business. We'll work on the dumbos the weekend after...;)

Finished replacing all the brake lines and fuel and vapor lines today. Didnt do the front lines last fall. Waited til the frame was bare and I could access the proportioning valve easier.
So now all fuel, vapor and brake lines are in, secured and I can move on.
Actually bent the crap out of the old lines just to prove I won the battle! haha
