Took a trip from my house to Bowling Green, MO today to pick up some steel from a welding supply/surplus, 120 mile round trip (60 each way). Filled both tanks up before I left town and recorded the mileage. Kept a steady 65mph the whole way there and back, fuel gauge went from over full to full. Topped it off at the same gas station I went to when I left, took 4.443 gallons. Both times it spewed out the filler neck so I know its full. 120/4.443=27 miles per gallon. The Quadrajet and 3.07 gears proved themselves today. That is the same MPG that my father gets in his 2014 Honda CR-V with half the cylinders, 10x(atleast) the technology, and 1000lbs lighter. I call that a win.

Then the drivers window fell off the track after I topped off, looks like I'll be putting new felts in the window when I pull the piece out to reweld it (which it needs). The one from my 79 for reference of what it should be on the left.
