I like this one better. It's old as dirt. Somehow I overlooked the other.

...or maybe I thought it was this one, lol.
I too like this one better, and it was here first, so I think I'll merge that one with this one. Really, we don't need 2 of these intended to be ongoing rolling threads.

I (re) fixed the driver side window regulator. I was so excited when I changed out the motor and regulator that I went and bought a new set for the passenger door. While doing the passenger door I figured out I'm an idiot and did not do the driver side correctly so I had to take it apart again. All's good now.

This is the motor that is in my suburban should I use the zinc additive with my oil change or just change it and let it be? I've been reading other forums about rebuilt motors and I've seen some guys use them in there's. Thanks any insight would be appreciated.

Ok, so still very fresh. Yeah, zinc would be good. Did the PO say anything about how the cam was broke in?

No not much he just told me the motor was put in at his brother's shop and that he basically drove it 5 days a week to pick up and drop offs off at school. Lost interest in the truck when he had another kid.

My opinion he didn't want to dump anymore money into it and rushed putting it back together there are little things that are half assed on it that's why I want to do my part and do it right. So with those specs that motor is basically a 350 right? He tried to tell me 383 stroker

since the crane, I've replaced the drivers side window motor, got it all working then had to take it all apart because the stupid connectors fell apart. I'm going to solder all connections from here on out. Put on the steering stabilizer I go a few months ago.
also learned that you have to tighten up ALL the intake manifold bolts otherwise the engine burns oil. then I learned i have to take the manifold out and get everything clean then I can put it all back together so she doesn't smoke at idle.

Placed the ol square in the Good Guys show 2018 spring nationals....

I was approached by a professional photographer who spent time taking all types of pictures. He asked for permission to put it in a magazine...fingers crossed that it makes the cut.

My daughters reaction was..."that would be so cool". It made her day and mine too. Its that kind of thing that makes all of the long hours put into a project well worth it.

Been looking for a set of headers to fit an 80 k10, what headers are the best without a ton of modification?
