Looks like antiseize being washed off the starter bolts by an engine iol leak. That and if that starter has been flopping around under there it is wearing the aluminum housing so there could be some fine aluminum there too.
That makes sense.

The oil leak is next on my list. That whole side of my oil pan is leaking. Going to try the 1 piece gasket out, no idea what is on there now, probably multi piece Cork.

Hoping it is not the rear main too, is there a way to tell?

If it is the rear main i am just going to look for a different engine. Don't feel like doing the rear main on this tired Wee-O-Five. If i am going to pull this engine it isn't going back!

Finished building new trans lines for my LQ9/4L80E swap, installed upper and lower coolant hoses, loomed up the oil pressure and coolant temp wiring, etc.

Still a ways to go on the wiring...

Trying to figure out my stalling problem. Once in a while the truck will just stall. No shaking, like I turned of the ignition. Replaced the IAC but still did it. Runs great though!

Does it restart right away? If not is there spark? If not it could be a flakey ignition module or pickup coil.

It starts right back up with no problem. Mainly at lights or when I shift into gear. I have to feather the gas a little with my foot on the brake.

Replaced all belts today. Wanted to do spark plugs and oil; but the bloody North wind and temps changed my mind. Maybe tomorrow.

On a side note, I noticed the steering gear box is wet underneath. I wonder how much longer it has before it needs replacing?

Finished up smoothing out the bed and had the bedliner sprayed in by Universal. Finishing up the final touches and getting it ready for the carshow in the next week.
