We had a newer member sign up just a bit ago from Altus. I told him about you and to be watching for your orange truck with some motor sticking out of the hood at the local car show that you'd most likely be there.

Damn, that's looking good. There is a guy who did a demo video on that chrome molding. Using a box knife, cut all the plastic coating off, then polish what's under it with I think it was an SOS pad and made the **** look almost like new again. At least alot better than that looks.

On way to work yesterday morning and got pulled over, no turn signal, so chased a short for 2 hours since midnight and long story short there's now a jumper wire from front passenger side to rear passenger tailight
Not happy bout it but it'll have to do until next weekend when I can start replacing the 30 year old wires

I'm willing to bet a dollar it's not a short at all. Pull the light housing out of the bed, you will see the ground on a 3/8 headed sheet metal screw. Remove the screw, a little sand paper to get it back to clean bare metal add a little vaseline, put the screw back in, reinstall the light fixture in the bed and your problem is probably solved.

Thanks! I'll have to give that a shot on the trim...can't get much worse than it already looks!

Holy crap ... Rebuilt the carb today.. what a difference it makes. No more bog.. no more stumble or hesitation.. It just goes.

Bumped my timing up to 18* BTDC but it feels like it still wants more! Crazy truck.

Hey everybody, I haven't posted much, mainly because i haven't had much to post, lol, but i bought Jims86 last year and finally got the tranny rebuilt. Shes up and runnin again! The Burb has been my daily driver for a few weeks now. I'm gonna try not to be a stranger and keep everyone up to date on my efforts to keep this beloved rig on the road.

I swapped out my old headers for some new ones yesterday. Also ground down the tabs where the previous owner cut the front shock mounts off. getting ready to weld the new mounts on after I weld the exaust up.
