85 breather on a 350. When I got the truck this was not hooked up. Not sure where it originally ran and am having no luck with "The Google" ;)

I'm sure it is emissions related, but need to figure out how to cap it off or something. Thanks,

Is it a 3/4 ton truck? I can't remember if my old 86's air cleaner housing had a fitting for one of the smog pump inlets or not.

It used to be a 3/4 ton...I swapped the whole thing over to a 1/2 ton SWB frame. Any ideas how best to plug it off?

Going off memory here, on my ‘88 K5 I believe it went to the A.I.R. pump valve. The pump is always pumping air, but it had a valve so under certain conditions when it didn’t sent air into the exhaust manifold it diverted it into the air cleaner.

Pull the clip that holds it and screw/pop rivet a scrap of sheet metal over it. Or just stick a cork in it. Actually there is absolutely no need to plug it it's not hurting a thing

Gorilla tape? Remove the unit, clean it up around the hole so tape will stick, tape from both sides. As redneck as it gets and still work.

Just taking it off and letting underhood air in won't blow it up. Or give 25 hp.
