6 lug, 3:73 (divided ring and pinion teeth) 12 bolt....

Also is it posi? Wheels turn same way when spun.

I need to know what it wouldve come out of so i can buy replacement parts like axle seals, pads, cyls, etc.

Could it be a 60's model setup for leafs?

The ring gear also says eaton on it. FWIW.

Looks like a typical 73-87 spring pad and shock mount set up. 12 bolts were no longer available after 81, 6 lug indicate 4wd. Springs in the carrier indicate posi.

My bet is 73-81 4wd.

What is the width? 60ish inches is from a 60-66 Chevy truck. 64ish is 73-97.

j knight narrowed it down to it being a 4wd truck axle. I would measue it and see if it is indeed from a square body

Well im sire it is. Thanks for the help. I didnt know 4x4s werr 6 lug.

Question, if i wanted to change from 6 lug to 5, and assuming the axle was from a square, can i just swap axle shafts from a 5 lug axle?

I don't know **** about the axles, I just had to comment that someone is going to be pissed when they find their purple phone swimming in 90W.

I believe you can swap axles on the 12 bolt. Don't hold me to it though lol.

78 and earlier stock 12 bolts for these trucks could be had with a factory installed rebuildable Eaton spring loaded limited slip.
