What causes cylinder wear like this?

It was a spray can - the label looks like its changed a bit. My friend ordered it from someplace in Cinci. He's been gone about 6 yrs now, so lots has probably changed.
Oh that would be better for sure. Found this, recall the color?

I know it started out as a cylinder question but the project is Just about done. Got some sanitizing of wires and hoses but was able to find a hose diagram and some are really hard to get to and Im finding that allot wasn't hooked up and missing hoses. Got some extra hoses to try and complete it. It never ran like it should especially at idle. It idled choppy like it's got a bigger cam, just dirty and not smooth like it's got a vacuum leak. I'm thinking that contributed to the gasket blow and the gasket might have been a cheap one. Also I can feel they took off too much material on the head in-between cylinders on at least one of them. I could feel it with my finger a little. I'm counting on the hylomar lol. It seems like really good stuff and I wasn't too shy with it. It's had a couple days to set after torque.
In the process we found 2 broken plugs and 1 really melted spark plug wire. Totally destroyed plug and wire boot getting it out. I read somewhere that these engines do that to plug wires somewhat commonly. @Originalthor ever heard of that?

Finished car last night, hes super stoked to get it running again. Was held up a few days with a wiring issue but now the Car runs great!
He says better than when he got it "rebuilt", engine stays cool . After a long long idle first rev puffed blue and then was gone. We all knew it would probably smoke eventually. I don't think it will get bad right away but will be there soon enough.
We know this engine has its miles numbered so We've toyed with the thought of v8 swap then I gave the idea of a BMW 3.0 or 3.5 and then turbo it. Had lots of fun in older BMWs And there tough! it would keep the lighter weight 6cyl 5speed thing going on. And engine wiring is all junk anyways.
What yall think of a BMW in a supra?
