I got home from work today in my '93 mini square and when I got out I could smell antifreeze. Once I started looking found a crack in one of the plastic tanks on the side of the radiator. It's the factory radiator so I guess I've been pretty lucky, but I was wondering if any one knows of a good replacement brand, or ones to stay away from.

I've seen some nice aluminum blem radiators on ebay for good prices with full warranties. They just have an ugly weld or something but they still function like new.

HR I seem you post this before. Can you dig up a link to a direct fit one for me? I'm in the market for a new radiator.

I couldn't find anything all aluminum direct fit for my s10, ended up going with a Spectra brand from Autozone. It was the only one I could find not made in China. It's made in Canada, with lifetime warranty. Hopefully it will last a while.

Quality looked good and it fit perfect. We will see how it holds up.

I've got a Spectra in my truck, and had one in my old Honda. I've been very pleased with both.

Spectra have the plastic tanks don't they? What about rows? Mine has 3. Most aluminum replacements I can find only have 1 or 2 rows. ??

Yes mine has the plastic tanks and it is a 2 row, but for a '93 2.8 liter S10 there was not a lot of options that fit my time frame. It is my DD, I get about 28 mph with it, almost triple what I get with my in my old K20.

There is another radiator talk thread in here that mentions all aluminum, with round tube rows but the link is dead.

Old77 also told me he has the Specrta style radiator in his truck and had no issues so far as well.

Anybody else here but a new radiator over the past few years?
