Changing the front brake lines should have been easy - whoops.

Plus side is that it is still sealed, so driveable.

Downside is that it is probably gonna require pro help - a lift, and flaring tools.

Huh, that's a first for me.

Vice grips might get it unthreaded. Then just grind the flare off so there's still enough room to install a new tube nut and flare it again.

Whatever you decide, remember that the threads play no part in creating the seal between the fitting and the flared end of the tubing. All they do is provide a means for clamping the flare to the fitting. You could probably crop 1/4" off the top of the female fitting. That extra exposure will help you gain a better purchase on the sheared off male fitting. Use a 6" Ridgid pipe wrench (with good sharp teeth) - it'll back right out, trust me.

Boy, this makes me think. You've seen SOME twist off and break the line? I've seen thousands of them do that. That's if there's even a hex left to put a wrench on. Damn Ohio.

Perhaps some exopy??? Un No, NO, and NO. No tack welding either. I'd be fearful of getting those thin tubes to hot. It brake lines. I don't think it's worth the risk. Fix it right or don't even bother fixing it. JMO

These trucks are so old it's even fairly common here. Sometimes you can get lucky with some PB Blaster soak and work it just right with the correct wrench if you still have the hex and gently get them off but it's only about a 40% chance. You'll twist off more than you'll save.

GMT 800 lines rusted off when they were only 5 years old. It's not just the old stuff. Road salt sucks.

Well, that was a hundred dollar fix.
Had someone do it , and since I had bought replacement soft hoses they just cut the old line off.

Made sense to me.

Probably still need to look at replacing calipers, and get the pull to the right diagnosed and fixed.
As HRPC so accurately stated, there's always something else to do !
