Hey Everyone Good Evening!
Finally got my C30 up and Running!

One question how do I remove the old pipe plug on the water pump to transfer onto my new Water Pump..?

Or should I just find another one?

having a real good time breaking my tools trying to get this Darn thing off.. haha

Steel on steel pipe plug, probably rusted good. 1/2 inch impact gun would be my choice for removal.

12 point socket hammered onto that square plug.

That crescent wrench ain't gonna do it, IDGAF how big the cheater bar is! It's not worth breaking very many tools a new one in the plumbing section at the local ACE don't cost but a couple bucks!

It's standard thread, prolly 9/16?

Getcha a deep 1/2 inch drive, 13/16 spark plug socket maybe?
Throw the crescent wrench away AND THEN try to get it out.;)
I don't remember ... 7/8 socket mebbe?

Moar pix old boy!

You can do it!

When I made the picture large I could see it is a square head plug. I have some square sockets but I'm sure many people do not. 12 point sockets will usually work as well, but again many do not have 12 point 1/2 drive sockets.

You do have the best solution Rusty, buy a new pipe plug and don't look back.

Because some applications use a plug and some use a nipple.

Pumps don’t include hardware (mounting bolts, clutch bolts, etc).
Every NAPA water pump I have EVER gotten had the plug and a spacer that is sometimes used at the alternator mount on the pump. Yeah, no bolts for the pump to the block and NO studs for the pulley/fan.......But all have had a plug!............and I love it when you talk about nipples!!!!!!.......lol
