Wanting to find a used gauge to rob the bezel from it ..

Needs to match the bezel that's on this tach ..

The part number is VDO 333 355. All bezels of the VDO 333 series 1 should fit.

I found one, chrome wasn't very good sent it off to have it replated, been months ago ..
Thinking I could find a good one that doesn't need chroming ??

Here's the deal ..
I subjected doing a trade ..
Had these set back for a rainy day ..

Thoughts was at one time putting them on my truck ..
But, really didn't want anything hanging under the dash ..
All the truck's factory gauges work ..

Told him I'd trade the three for his one ..
He jumped on the deal ..
Said the tach was NOS, never used ...

Never would I have thought that finding a VDO tach would be this hard to do !

The one I already have been working fine for years on end just got a facelift ...

The factory gauges have a dome lens ...

Wanted to have all the gauges to have the same look, found a clock company that offers convex lens in many sizes ..

Had to take about .200" off the O.D. in order to fit into a recess of The VDO's bezel ..

That went super well, attained a matching look to the Oem ..
Now to do the Pontiac vacuum gauge the same way ..

If I can find another VDO tach bezel ?

The bezel that you see on the vacuum gauge is in poor shape and requires to be climped on ... Don't want to use it ..
VDO tach bezel is a snap on design, no bending on the lip ..
