041 was the casting on the 350/350 , 302 among others...wish I had some....lucky!
I hunted for them online everyday for a couple months was looking for 041 or 186 to replace the 76cc ones on my goodwrench 350 now I should be able to run a decent cam possibly have to get a stall converter we will see how things work out

what is your budget like ?? if your on a budget disassemble them and see what you have ( post pics if you like )
keep everything in order as you go look at the valve and seat for pitting if they look all right
lap them in and see what you have there is a ton of videos on this
if all looks ok reassemble them cross your fingers and run them

If you have a few bucks to spend
Give these guys a call ( or any machine shop )
and get a valve job and then you know for sure

Thanks for the info when I have time I will take apart and inspect . I've watched a few videos on lapping the valves seems pretty straight forwardp

I like this new guy. :waytogo:

I own ONE #186 with a accessory holes..random score I saw listed on CL one day for something retarded like , twenty bucks or something... I didn't even blink before I picked up the phone!

Met up with dude. He finds out i'm not worried about the dates and he asks : "well, what are you gonna do with one head?"

"Keep lookin" I told him. There's another $20 single out there somewhere... :)

You find em on eBay? I saw a sweet deal the other day, was that you? Cuz damnit man! Those are great heads..i'm happy for you.

Well can you remove at least one valve it would show you alot!

Also if it does not look like a fresh cut lap them to see if the look off.

Also you wont be able to tell by looking at the combustion chamber.
I posted some pics at the end of this thread

As I anticipated, they have some runtime on them. But judging by the valves and seats that you posted they don't look too bad at all. Are the valve stem seals pliable? At the point you are at, if you have any doubts a machine shop would check them out for you for a little bit of money at the least. And depending on your budget, they're off the engine now so it would be cheap insurance.
