Going posi is easy,you don't even have to shim the pinion. Price the posi carrier of your choice, differential bearings, and a pumpkin gasket. Swap your ring to the new carrier,use your new diff bearings,set your backlash and your done. It's way easier and faster than R&R a rear end. Homemade tool for pulling and pressing Diff/Pinion bearings if you replace pinion bearings and seal, buy a crush sleeve eliminator,it will make your life so much easier.
