Ok it's not a square body but it is Chevrolet and before I wire it up. And route oil pressure tube and temp capillary tube. I'd like to see pics of how others have run their wires and tubes, just so down the road I don't see someone else's project and go Damn I wish I had down it that way instead of the way I did it. FWIW it's SBC. long water pump with Hei 3 wire alternator,3 gauge aftermarket mechanical gauges, it's basically a 1975 k10 350 with no A/C

You have a mechanical oil pressure gauge? id recommend electronic. but if you must, coil it, and have it go into the firewall over by the booster and not rub anything. the biggest problem with mechanical oil pressure is routing the tube and then it plug into a stationary point from a point that vibrates and moves a lot, in addition to clearing obstacles.

Best advice on your oil line is to run a #4 AN flexible hose. A lot more $ but it will last longer. You can route your temp gauge wire parallel to your valve cover.

okay... well.. i dont have a picture because i broke it, but an old sbc sitting in my shed had an oil line running parralel the valve cover, on top, toward the front of the engine about mid way, then it terminated a few inches steaight out so in a square that would be near the brake lines coil i think. it may have been the route there. didnt look factory

I think this is golden information. If I coiled a copper line like the 70s and seen a picture of a slick ass SS braided line setup. I’d kick myself for not bringing the capillary tube into the 2000s. But I dunno is that advice... or... a suggestion? I dunno....

Wait for it 3rd sentence says it all (I'd like to see pics of how others have run their wires and tubes) so we're at 7 responses but not a single pic. Swearbody even quoted me in that I'd like to see pics, but still no pics. I know, What I need is an ls, and some double hump heads,an edelbrock carb and a spectre fuel pressure regulator.

If someone posted I want to see pics of other cars before they paint theirs so they can get some ideas.Should we all put up be sure to take out the windows, buy ppg paint you won't regret it, cut your paint 150 percent etc. etc. or should we put up some pics?

All of my stuff is electric and stock, so not much to see. Will get you a picture if you want? Also I agree with you Ricko, you just asked to see HOW folks had their lines ran, not WHAT their lines were. Seems to me were a person wanting to be helpful they would post up a picture of their lines, maybe explain what they like or don't like about where they are and what they are? But what do I know, I'm just a dumb coonass not a You Tube expert??
