Replacing the gas tank $109 on Amazon and $100 for a new fuel pump setup. Free at the door next. Replacing the three fuel lines from the tank to the rail, wanted a little more play to not struggle. $7.91 a foot $50 total. Shorted 3" on one hose and 1/2" on another. Damn. A few pieces of fuel injection hose cost half as much as the gas tank! Who would of thought!

Be thankful that you found it locally. When I did the fuel pump on my Corvette last summer, I was looking for a short piece to bypass the pulsator and most places that I called or stopped by had no idea what I was talking about.

It’s probably SAE J30 R7 or R9 EFI hose which has really crazy high prices in local parts stores. I ended up buying it in 10 or 20 foot lengths off Amazon because I needed 3 sizes to upgrade all my old hoses. The EFI hose is supposed to hold up better to ethanol and I had a lot of old cracked hoses.

Most of the blister pack stores I go into now, the dufus at the counter never heard of R7, R9, etc. hoses. A couple years ago the local NAPA closed up - switched owners, then a "new" NAPA opened. In the meantime, they were clearing out their inventory and I went nuts and bought whole rolls of every hose imaginable for pennies on the dollar. They had some awesome racks I tried to get as well but the previous owner was keeping it all.

So I'm thankful that I got plenty cheap and that I dont have to deal with the clerks anymore than I have to.

$8/ft? Ouch.

I stopped buying my fuel like at oreillys a while back. Started buying it at Tractor Supply. They sell it by the foot in a big roll. It's like $1.20 a foot.

I use rock auto or Amazon. I only use any of the other chain stores for emergency. Like broke down in front of store

Have found Rockauto to be the least expensive place for parts. Watch the shipping cost sometimes. Even with shipping it's usually much less than local and I have a discounted account. The Orilleys around the corner from me is geared toward the DIY. Filters, oil, plugs, batteries, common stuff.
