Do they have a drain plug on the torque converter and anything special for fluid?
Thanks

No drain plug, all fluid goes in and comes out of the center snout. Just regular old atf.

Yep, common body of fluid shared with the rest of the transmission. Some people like type F, some like dex. Factory would’ve been dex III. Now we’re up to dex VI I think...

Once upon a time converters had drain plugs. Probably like a 1964 time.

At some point it was a practice to drill a hole to drain them and use a blind rivet to reseal them. That was probably about two hears later, and it was a one-time deal.

Obviously it wasn't a big enough concern to make anybody turn it into a standard practice.

Thanks, that’s what I thought, but haven’t changed fluid on a 3 speed auto in about 30 years. And easier than checking for myself lol.
Same with fluid. Don’t recall them being finicky.
Guess I’ll do a fluid replacement draining through the cooler line after replacing filter and oil in pan.
