Ordered the CFI to MFI conversion kit by AC Delco from Rockauto. Total cost for kit after shipping and the discount code was $440.xx.

Problem fixed after converting cfi to mfi fuel injection conversion. No more hard starting. Starts faster than the old cfi system did. I had to replace the spark plugs because they were contaminated from the old fuel system running too rich and plus had one plug with a broken ceremic around the electrode part of the plug after 3,000 miles.

Sucks, I'da like to have seen what you had installed in the place of the spider assembly. So did you basically convert to a marine system then???

I went to MFI. Instead of having one injector at a time getting fuel. The new setup get s fuel to all the injectors at once. This is not my pic but the new setup looks like the one on the left.

Yea, Plus the old setup used rubber seals that were known to leak gas over time. The new setup doesnt have rubber seals. Plus the cranking time before it started was pretty much chopped down to about nothing. Truck will start within second when cranking.

The new one has actual injectors at the end of each tube... see the wires going to each of them? The original setup just has some kind of valve at the end of each tube. I believe they just pop open when they see pressure.
