Stoney thoughts have me designing something now... I'm gonna fab up some cool removable locks out of aluminum and paint em. Next time I'm at the Depot I'll see what I can find for hardware. Should be interesting. I'll be sure to post pics...even if they suck lol

My dad had an 80 model custom deluxe he bought new, with a slider. He STILL hates that slider. It got broke into many many times. My dads dad dies when he was 26,my dad was only 2. Well my dad had his dads old tools behind the seat that my grandma had given him, thief put a screwdriver in it and poppd it and stole the tools. It had a super flimsy latch.

But my c20 came with a slider, and that latch was the real deal. Much more sturdy.

but, hey, make the windows to where they cant get in them and they'll just break em.

I'm going with a solid rear window for a reason.......I want to add rear defrost which will be a pain, but it's doable..

I like the idea of a solid rear window in conjunction with the single large door glass, I think they would look great together. People make too big of a deal of the sliding rear window, all it does is suck in leaves and dirt when you're going down the road, I never drive with mine open unless it's just slow trail riding. Also makes a good way to get in the bed for hooking up a tow strap lol.

I love my slider window, even though the latch is broke. It's very handy as a pass-trough and the extra ventilation is wonderful. The inside if the bed is usually pretty clean so not much ever blows in, just a leaf every now and then. I don't worry about people breaking into it because I try not to keep valuables in the truck. If they couldn't get in the slider, they would just break a window anyway.
