My trans cross member (TCM) has 3 pieces.
The big main cross piece and then 2 smaller "gusset" pieces that bolt to the main piece. (One on each side)
I need to remove the TCM so as to cut a notch in it and it can't be done wothout removal.
If I unbolt the gusset pieces and TCM bolts can it be removed without removing the driveshaft?
I ask because with a jack supporting the tranny tail, there ain't much wiggle room.

Has anybody done this?
Thanks in advance.
