NV4500? Will it withstand my 383

Will a gm nv4500 withstand my 500 hp 383 stroker ??
And is there any thing eles I need to change or is a clean swap??

Due to a forum rules violation, I edited your post. Besides, chances are slim to none that anyone out there would be willing to trade off an nv4500 for a 465, even as partial trade.

With that said, yes it will hold up to your 383. The sm465 will too, if you were wondering about that.

Your swap will have different particulars based on what year of nv4500 that you get. It usually involves an aftermarket bellhousing though. It also depends on your current clutch setup. Looks like you have a hydraulic slave cylinder conversion maybe? The photo is kinda dark.

Ya I have a hydraulic slave system . And okay thank u I was just wondering if a nv4500 should be built up a bit like input shaft and such

I've had the 465 for about 12 years as it was more of a mountain truck but now I am wanting to make it more a highway princess, so I'd like to make it a 5 speed for better travel
