Did the meaning change over the years? I know in the later years (when the 442 wasn't what it used to be) these things most likely did not apply which is why I ask

The 2bbl Turnpike Cruiser was an option. The standard 400 engine was a 4 bbl carb so yes, the second 4 did have a meaning.
