I like that $50 Snap on Box. Good deal on that one, even with it's character paint and scratches. My first tower is over 30 years old, I got it brand new. My 2nd tower is 19 years old. They're not beat up or scratched up bad. Just a few little character scratches but in great shape. My buddy has a Snap on box from 1953 out in the garage. He says when he dies it's mine since none of his other loser friends appreciate tools and all they do is pawn ****.

Those are some nice boxes. So is your dad's box now yours or do you have other siblings to split it with? I was a commercial drywaller, so was my bro. When my bro died all I wanted was his 5 gallon bucket of drywall hanging tools and his hard hat. That's what him and I had in common and that's what I wanted. Everyone else fought over his CD's, leather coats, fancy shoes, and all his personal affects. Your dad's tools will mean everything to you. Whenever I'm doing drywall now days, which isn't very often at all, but when I'm doing a little work for someone I make it a point to use his tools instead of mine. Kinda makes me feel like he's there with me doing a job like we used to do.
it is all mine hell i even got 80 acres of land and a house. my brother pissed off my dad when he was 21 and now that he is 25 and i got all of pops stuff he regrets not spending more time with him. kinda sucks for my brother but he treated my dad like he was a *******. winch he was at times but i always learned to let **** go and deal with it. I even get his rental properties soon just waiting till i get time to deal with the business side so i am letting my brother work on the properties and get equity till he get to about 49% so i still own 51% and have rule over it. thanks, the box are in good shape and should last even past me hell they could last to my grand children if they get taken care of by my kids if i have them.

Not at all, I like it, it was just sitting in his attic in a wheelbarrow, I'm gonna clean it up, probably paint it black to match my 10 other boxes

That one there looks more like a machinst's box rather than a mechanics box.

Just reorganized my garage a month or two ago and added a toolbox to the mix. I’ve got two more on the workbench to the left of the red one. Then you see a hand built tool car in the lower right corner. My cousin built that and it has some go kart slicks on it. It’s pretty cool :)

Damn, I was gonna say, that looks like I'd scrape my hair on that garage ceiling. Now I see the drop soffit to the main portion of the garage. I like my garages like most women like their men. Deep and Wide !!! That added little work in front of your truck is the shiznits. Is your garage door close too?

Yeah, a garage is never big enough but the main part of the ceiling is taller than that. It dips there because of ducting and support beams and stuff. And yes, the garage door is within about 6 inches of the rear of the truck in this pic

That's not bad at all. Still have workspace in front of the vehicles. Even an X cab shotbed would still have enough room in front of it, or a Hoe.

Hmm, not sure I ever posted in here yet. My toolboxes can be seen in this pic.

The black Craftsman set on the left was a father's day gift in '05 or '06. The red Snap On box was bought used in '03 I think. The little red Craftsman chest was bought used in '99. The black Craftsman top/bottom on the right were bought slightly used in '08 or around in there. They are all pretty much packed full, I've been on the lookout for a top chest that matches the red Snap On.

Look at all that space !!! I swear, I want to build a shop with a living quarters in it, not a house with a shop area in it.

I've been trying to talk my kids into getting their **** together to buy a house on an acre or 2 or 3, then I'm going to build me a big shop out back with a living quarters in it so they can keep their house and privacy and I can live the dream. Then when I croak, they can have all my treasures and projects.

If it weren't for my pesky family (joking of course, lol) I'd have a big ass garage down in the hills somewhere, and it would just have a little bedroom/kitchen area in it.

I'd have me just enough living area to spread out a little. A nice size bedroom, with walk in closet and a small to the point bathroom. Then a bonus room living/dining/kitchen area combo with a good size guest closet at the entrance. Cuz you know I'll have to have bitches droppin' in for a weekend here and there.

The bonus room won't be real tiny either. You know I'll have to have a small bar and enough room for a big TV for them friendly get togethers for OU football, Thunder Basketball championships and things of that nature.
