Hello,

I seem to not be able to find my tool for adjusting the idle on
my carb. It was one of those flexible screw drivers with a hex(i believe on it)
Long flexible screw driver looking thing with a hex on it(allen).

Where can I get these? send if a link if that is ok.
and
what size is the hex(allen) at the end of the screw driver
for adjusting the idle on my 4.3L with Rochester 4 bbl.
Thanks! Trkg

Original Quadrajet idle screws are usually a double-d shape, and there is a flexible carb tool that has that special end on it. When I rebuilt my Quadrajet, the kit came with new idle screws with a hex end that has a screwdriver slot in it.

Your carburetor also had factory caps or casting over the idle screws to prevent owner adjustment. In most cases the casting/cap has been drilled out, and they used to sell a special size bit to make the removal easier.

Or remove the file screws and cut a slot in them. I used a dremel tool with the thick cut off wheel, it made a slot just big enough for a pocket screwdriver.
