What he said^^

He should be out doing some soldering in his Burban though...

It's on the list buddy. Need that antenna adapter and at least some front speakers. Trying to gather a bunch of **** together to do all at once while the dash is apart. Old77/Retro radio install, fix the heater housing and ducts and install that tach in the a/c vent. Next couple of weeks I will be digging into all of that with the camera in hand. :waytogo:

Biggest hurdle will be the speakers I guess. Might have to stick with the one for the time being. Can't spare 30-40 bucks with Thanksgiving & Xmas around the corner. Keep me in mind at PAP if you are tearing into a dash bro. :(

Yeah, they have plenty of people there. Granted, we want them to come visit, just don't want to take away. They can still call TMC their home forum. Like Buurp did. Although, TMC is his home, I figured he'd drop in here more often, being we did some recruiting for him and made sure to get him some votes for Mod. I'm not sure how many votes we got him, but I'm sure they all helped since he wasn't like in the Top 3. I also hit my buds there that don't have squares and had them hook him up and he knew it.

I'll just say, I did leave there for a reason, but I go back to see buds, and I did some checking, I see some others have had issues too and are not there anymore. They jumped ship, and I'll add the issue is WAY UP on TOP and why it was a useless to resolve situation. I have a feeling your links might go buh bye when noone is looking.
That also isn't a forum for doing write ups unless you want to use your own pic space. After you upload about 8 average size pics you're done and have to get PhotoFuckIt or Flicker account.

If you are talking about TMC, I will be changing some setting around that will allow you to post more then just 8 images a thread. Just need to set it up.

Yep, I am talking about TMC. Gotta be one of my favorite things about your sites, (notice I said 1 of the favorites) is the fact members are given plenty of room to pic ***** the site up. Just like a Porno site, pics is what sells, and it's true, a pic is worth a thousand words.

More importantly than just being able to post pics, have you ever been to a forum, done a search and then find EXACTLY what you need? Then you find that it's a year or 2 old thread and because the site didn't offer image space, the person had used their photobucket or flicker account to post the pics. Now this person has left the forum, or they deleted their photobucket or flicker account or deleted that folder from their account. Now what you have left behind is a dead worthless tech thread because there are no images to go along with the thread that help explain and point out what the writer was referring to. Worst thing ever a forum can do, is not have image space. I figured that was a change you'd be making there.

I maxed out on my limit on attachments on TMC. Thats why I use photobucket over there. Actually I use photobucket everywhere cause the pics show up bigger and not wanting to max on attachment limit.

That's the exact reason I allow images to be stored on the site rather then PB. It has happened a lot so I have tried to change that to where images are always going to be on the thread, even if they are 5 years old.

Well, hopefully I can find someone kind enough with some server space to give the parts and illustrations manuals posted a permanent home instead of PB...

 You know, I'm not even certain Shagster is aware of the Squarebody Reference Library.

Remember that email or post I made Shaggy, that I'd like to see this place become where ever single nut and bolt to a Squarebody has a name, can be identified and where it goes. ? So Retro hit me up, and we got together with a few PMs and came up with that Reference Library. So I put Retro as Mod in that Category so he can organize, start, delete and edit posts as needed. He threw down some cash to buy all the OEM GM Manuals needed to scan pics, codes, parts and all that down to every bolt. It's getting built slowly but surely, but coming along great. Locking the threads so they don't get all screwed up with Off-Topic nonsense. Members can go there, find their info, then post up about it in the proper Tech section for further help and discussion.

I think I am going to get wiring diagrams for every year I can because of the changes from year to year, plus I love wiring. But as for the service manuals I would like to get, I think I am just going to do 1973, 1977, 1983, 1987 and 1991...Since there weren't quite as many changes mechanically and physically.

Rather than keep spending all your cash on these things, you should be asking members if they have these manuals. If they do, then borrow them. Media Mail is pretty cheap, to receive and ship them back after you've got the info. That might not work though. Didn't you say you cut the pages out of the books so they scan flat???

I have 80 GMC Service manual for light trucks. Covers C, K, G Vans and P series up to 3500 series.
I have 87 Chevy Service manual for light trucks Covers R, V, G vans and P series 10-30 Series.

Also have Wiring Diagrams for 1986 Chevy 10-30 C, K, G and P series. Also found no copyright info whatsoever in it. Just says rights reserved to change info at any time without notice.
And the 87 Chevy GM Wiring Diagrams for Light Duty, CK, G Van, P Model, ST Truck, M Van and RV Truck.

The wiring diagram books will lay flat to scan without tearing them apart.

Oh yeah, doesn't matter much for here, but if you need to borrow it to get some info or scan if you can, I've got an 82 and 85 GM S-10 Service Manuals too. And a 78 Chevy Monza.

Yeah, because I have a high speed scanner. Would I have to scan the diagram books and merge the scans to get them all?
