thread size for door lock knobs?

If you're talking about the little knobs that go on top of the lock rod and stick through the door panel, they're just plastic. Twist them on with some pressure and they'll cut their own threads

There is a left hand thread and a right hand thread. Make sure they match the DS/PS door.

Is this the same for right hand drive vehicles?Yeah, otherwise they may come loose. Unless the truck is driven in reverse a lot.

Last year, I needed to remove the door panel and the lock knob needed to come off as well.
No matter what I ttied, the knob wouldn't budge.
I was ready to just take a hammer to it.
At a last desperate act I referenced a repair manual. The manual referenced a tool number, so I went online and my local napa store had it in stock.
It was not cheap, but as soon as I applied it to the knob and she popped right off. And believe it or not, it works on alot of small, stubborn fastners.
The really nice thing is that it's very easy to find.
