Howdy all!

I’m thinking about a new steering wheel for the suburban. Do any of you prefer the comfort grip over forever sharp wheels or vice versa? I like that the sharp wheel is 14” but is the comfort grip better quality?

Looking to go to wood grip:

I like them both for what they are but the black one is too modern for me lol personally like the comfort grip and like it's look and that it's 15" but I like big steering wheels lol. The one in my 59 viking 60 is huge lol watch your thumbs.
But on the other hand the black one is more truckie

I agree. My factory wheel is perfect in condition so it might be sac-relig to even remove it.

Trade? Lol, I have a nice 14"wheel I took off my 78 and put on a crusty sticky one from a 73. I think it's a grant. Black grip w/chrome. I'll find it and post pictures

I love the look of the Forever Sharps but I sat in my buddy's '86 that has one and a 14" wheel is wayyyyy too small IMHO. Felt very strange to me. I ended up with a 15" comfort grip, it's perfect IMO. Retains the classic look, it's very comfortable and is the perfect size

Had one from a 70's Camaro fit perfect no modifications. Saved the stock wheel.
Same here, Actually mine is out of my 1978 Camaro. I bought it when I was 16 for $400 back in 1994. I junked that POS a year later, but kept the steering wheel and put it in my C10 I just finished building at the time. I'm thinking I'm now going to leather wrap it since it keeps getting sticky. *edited to add a pic, since we're all pic wh*res here.

I notice you have a very rare left to right shifting pattern vs. The more common front to rear pattern.

I have the 13.5" diameter Grant with the shallow dish. My column is not tilted (I hope to change that someday). I like beer and cheeseburgers, so I also changed the seat mounts to move the seat back 1.5". I'm happy with the wheel but plan to put a leather wrap on it soon.
