K, when cruising, give just enough brake to activate the lights, and see if rpms go up.

How about when manually grounding D? Worst case, TC is shot.
It locked before the conversion, right?

For all intents and purposes. Could I wire an indicator lamp into this setup?

Getting positive from brake pedal switch and negative from ECM wire

ok I went through and inspected everything. The wire to C7 had come out of the crimped pin. So I redid it and plugged that in. Wired in the indicator lamp. Warmed it up driving to AutoZone to dump the old trans fluid. Jumped on the interstate and nothing. Hit a bump on the highway and the light flickered for a second. Ran the clover leafs to turn around towards home. Got up to 60MPH and it started flickering on and off. Then it finally stayed solid. I did feel anything right away so I started to curse lol. then a second later it hit. dropped 200 RPMS as if it shifted into 5th. It jumped in and out of this for a bit, delay in activation. But the more I drove the better it got. Took about 4 minutes till it was finally locked in for good. This sound right? it still takes a half a second to lock up after the ECM sends the command. I also noticed it lock on me at 35MPH in 3rd gear heading home. Thoughts?

I wouldnt complain...LOL
35 mph lock in 3rd is good. Did you put a temp switch in? Maybe its a higher temp than normal? Just a thoutght in the lockup delay.

No I didn't. Only switches in the trans are the 4th gear switch and the 3-4 shift switch. Maybe its just because it hasn't been used in a year. Hopefully more driving will help. So long as lower mph lock up isn't an issue IDC.

hmmmm warmed up the engine and went for a test drive today. no lock up on the high way. had it for a little but when i released the pedal and reapplied it wouldnt re-engage. Doesnt seem that the ECM is giving the signal to lock up. Im gonna plug my laptop in and drive some more. any thoughts? Im at 180 degrees, constant speed of 60MPH.

Maybe there is a short in the wiring that goes to the temp. sender or the brake switch ground wire. When the brakes is applied, a signal goes to ground to unlock the convertor.
If one of those wires is bouncing off of a ground source it could be the culprit of why the light is flickering and it takes so long for the convertor to get a good signal to lock up again.

Sorry, I keep forgetting to post. Was a bad brake switch. It was only sending 7 volts to the transmission. I cleaned up the contacts and reassembled it, works perfect now. Locks up when warm with constant temp anytime over 35MPH.

Thanks everyone that helped
