So my wife found this thing on craigslist and HAD to have it. We drove to see it as soon as we hit Tuscon and that afternoon the guy delivered it to my in laws house so I could stash it in the garage.

This thing runs and drives around, I just rebuilt the carb and it PUURRRSS. Stay tuned for a tune up and gas delivery system clean out so I dont have to run it with a jug of gas on the hood. Betsy scored a set of NOS tail lights still in the boxes off ebay for cheap.

Looks like a fun project even if it's not a GM! Right now it looks like an old NASCAR racer with the black steelies and low to the ground stance. I like it!

A side oiler 427 would increase performance,but,only if it had the 2-4bbls attached.

Nice, It's a Ford, but this one is still worthy of it's own thread. I'd just keep rocking that 289. Good motors. Did you figure out if it's a 2 speed auto yet? Long lasting durable transmissions if it is. Like a powerglide, not to much to them and hard to kill. If it's geared like I think it is, you'll like it when you're doing 55-60 on the freeway, and drop it in 1st and nail it to pass someone and go back into 2nd about 80mph.

Good Score on those taillight lenses. I figured those might be a bit hard to find.

Nice. My favorite ford being full-frame coilovers, and not some POS unibody/leaf car like the fairlane and mustang(and camaro for that matter). Funny, my friend just bought a 2-owner VERY NICE 68 base model fastback last night. Thing is CLEAN. Pics forthcoming.

Yeah well, it's a good thing he has lots of people behind this project. Afterall, it is still a Ford, and a heavy one at that. The more pushers the better. They'll be needed at some time or another.
