I'm running the factory monster on the front, and an equally huge aftermarket version on the rear, but I don't know who built it. Scored it at a wrecking yard off another square 'burb along with it's bigger sets of rear springs and an axle truss off a P/u.

Thaaaaaat's not factory Shawn. But do you know where the axle brackets came from?

This is a factory rear bar, they were only on C2500 and C3500 trailering specials and only fit the 14 bolt rear as far as I know. No 1/2 tons got one. I wonder if the Blazer Trailering Special got one though?... I need to go through some **** and see but I think they didn't.

That looks like the Hellwig bar I have on mine, except Shawn's is installed differently. Did the instructions say to install it below the pumpkin? Only a matter of time before you hook something with it like that.

Got it from crazy4offroad, I thought he said it came out of a Blazer, hell I might be wrong, I thought it was a stock rear sway bar.

I didn't have instructions, I never thought to put it on top of the axle, you make a good point about hooking something. The rear end is going to come out of the truck, I don't know if it will go back on after I four link, and put coil overs on the new rear end. If it does, I'll put it on top of the axle. Thanks for the pic.

The bracket looks like a beefed up version of a muffler clamp.

I didn't have instructions...

Then I should also mention that if you decide to reinstall it later the arms of the sway bar need to be as level as possible. It looks like yours angle upwards quite a bit... longer end links are an easy fix for that.

Here's how I installed the rear bar. I wonder if it's less effective at controlling body roll, with it mounted in front of the axle tube?

Can either one of you take a better pic of the end link mount. I would appreciate it.

The end link mount is just an L bracket bolted through the side of the frame.
