I have a 1987 chevy r10 w/ a 350. Ive have been looking for some new front sway bar bushings. My problem is that, on my truck, the bushings that connect the bar to the frame are a different size than the ones that connect the bar to the control arms. They both have the same inside diameter, but the overall dimensions of the bushings are different. In fact, the bushings on the control arm side are almost twice the size of the ones on the frame side. when I go to buy new bushings, they only offer one size that is supposed to work for both locations. wondering if anybody else is set up like this or if my truck was rigged up at one point with the wrong parts.

I think that's normal. Where are you shopping for parts? Maybe try somewhere else.

Oreillys, Napa, Autozone, Pep Boys, Rock Auto. Everywhere I looked only offers the smaller ones that connect the bar to the frame, but not the ones for the bar to the control arms. They have some that are label as being for the control arm, but they are the exact same as the other ones and they dont fit

Maybe try looking up bushings for a van, they have a similar suspension setup. Or maybe for a 3/4 or 1 ton.

I don't remember exactly what size those bushings are, my only 2wd now doesn't have a front bar.
