swapping 1/2 ton suspension in a 1 ton dually

Looking for some info on differences in 1 ton crew cab suspension compared to 1/2 ton suspension. I have a 87 crew dually that i'm planning on converting to shorbox single wheel and would like to go to half ton suspension and front hubs also. What will swap and what wont. I"ve been looking for the info but havent found a definitive answer yet and dont have a half ton in front of me to compare too. Thanks for the help.

In the rear, you will have to modify the spring hangers to 1/2 or 3/4 ton or modify the spring perches on the 1/2 ton axle to fit the 1 ton spring set up. You may also have to switch the shock set up.

Here's my K30 SRW. The springs are closer to the frame than 1/2 & 3/4 tons. Also 1 ton shock are reversed and inside the frame.

Looks pretty straight forward for rear. Thanks for the pics....any insight on front end. I've heard that the crossmember in 1ton won't accept 1/2 ton components?
