Howdy gents,

Tomorrow I put some new tires on Tina our C20 454 2wd suburban. I’m leaning towards 2 options (getting rid of the 113 flexy pirellis on it).

1. Nitto 420 staggered setup
-Rear 305-40-20 F Ply 122 load 3307lbs per tire (80 psi max)
- Front 275-55-20 XL 117 load 2833 lbs per tire (50 psi max)

2. Non staggered- Toyo Open Country HT II 265-60-20 E Ply 121 load 3297 lbs per tire (80 psi max)

Front axle weight max is 3800
Rear axle weight max is 6000

I will tow a 9k lb bumper pull once a month. Below is the current tire sticker placard on the door so either setup gets me within the factory axle weight settings. The nitto’s look more hotrod badass and the Toyo looks more truck.

Will I have trouble being that the staggered nitto are only xl 2833lb rated tires?

Help me choose! The nitto was test mounted but it will be rear only. The Toyo is placed next to the wheel.

You just refuse to test that theory before buying new tires, eh?

I needed em. Even without it, these tires make this truck drive so much better it’s not even funny.

So it drove like **** before, without the trailer? You kinda left that part out. Glad it’s fixed now.
