Any body got a good diagram of the workings of the tail gate? Can’t seem to get my handle to work.

Your inside release handle? When things get tight due to a lack of lubrication, it puts a lot of stress on the release handle and the latch actuator mechanism. The arm on the handle can bend, causing a lack of engagement of the rod into the actuator mechanism. Also, the arm on the actuator mechanism that receives said rod can bend, which also causes a lack of engagement. Lastly, the latch actuator mechanism has an adjustment bolt on it, so you can adjust the slack out of the handle engagement. NOTE! The adjustment bolt is reverse thread!
