Stuck spindle

You must have yelled at it to die.



It's 4x4 stuff, trying to get the spindle loose from the knuckle. Not the knuckle loose from the ball joint. Or am I the one missing something?

Nope or was he trying to get the spindle shaft off the spindle of a 2 wheeler....lol

nobody uses pickle fork ??

They have never worked for me on ball joints, even when used with an air chisel.

Sharp whack with a BFH usually does the trick on ball joints.

I actually happen to have a partly disassembled 10-bolt laying in my driveway. It's all in surprisingly good shape except the broken u-joints on the passenger side. I'd be willing to sell you any part of it. I'm really not sure what the going rates are for these.

I hope you already removed the top adjuster nut. if you have, a quality pickle fork will pop it right off. not a Harbor Freight one. highdesertranger

Yup. I like my Plumb pickle fork and some air chisel bits/fork. If the air chisel bit gets stuck, remove it from the chisel and try a different bit opposite to the one stuck. Then beat the Hell out of it with a good hammer. Protect your eyes/teeth.
