strainer sock

hey all, iv got a 78 short bed scottsdale with 350 with a qjet , does this year truck have a strainer sock on the end of pick up tube , i put new fuel pump on ran good for a day then back to same ol thing have to prime it to start thanks for all the info

Yes, it should have a sock on the pickup tube. You should also have a filter in the Q-jet that you might want to check

hey thanks 04 i changed filter in carb , i pulled the gas line off at the carb its not pumping gas im going to check the lines before pulling the tank

update hey all solved the problem the rubber line from the tank to the steel line was rotten changed that out runes great i was hoping that was it hate to pull the tank thanks for the help
