So if anyone is having an issue with replacing not repairing but replacing their steering column i got mine in.
The hard part is getting the metal tube at the base to go into the intermediate shaft housing.
I kept having my steering column shaft at the base sliding into the column and not the intermediate shaft housing.
I clamped a pair of vice grip pliers up as high as possible and it slowed the shaft going into the column and I was eventually able to fanagle the ******* shaft into the intermediate shaft housing. Hope this helps.
