Steering Arm Removal

I started to do my 6 inch lift tonight and quickly realized how much of a bear it was going to be to get the old steering arm off with the cone washers. Any suggestions on how to make this easier?

Only thing that worked for me was take the nut off and get a big socket that is bigger than the cone and put it over the stud and cone and hit it down with bfh The cone poped right up

BFH, alternate between top hits and side hits. Don't be afraid to swing that hammer.

alternating hammer hits with decent force,then sometime a small chisel you can spin the cone washer off the studs as they take the thread of the studs.
