Starter shims?

I seem to remember odd ball stuff like lossing my 1/4 inch drive 3/8 scoket inside the iner panel of a 79 sb ft fender.

I supplied a lot of tools to wrecking yard tear down folks, found a few too.

Take a big ass flat tip screw driver slide the gear into your flywheel when you can tightly slide a paper clip between the teeth you are shimmed correctly, on my 572 I actually had to machine 80 thousandths off my starter block, that’s something to watch for also…
