I'm going to guess Deluxe has the chrome bead insert that matches your picture.

Unless it's bassackwards like Chevy calling the stripped model a Custom Deluxe.

On the deluxe gaskets you can use chrome or black lock beads. GMC's usually had black.

x3.

Use whichever you prefer.

One of the reasons I always ordered the Scottsdale trim level is because it got me the black bead around the windshield and rear window rather than the chrome.

My '88 Silverado K5 has black insert but I was asked by glass company which one I had. Chrome just waaaay more expensive if I wanted to switch to it since I didn't already have the chrome pieces. Probably depends on whether the truck was ordered with the chrome insert. I know this doesn't really answer your question but I'd call a local glass company and ask them. If I had the chrome, and liked it, I'd stay with it. I'd also research (YouTube) how to take it out without bending it as that could get costly!

The chrome trim isn't the old style plated steel or stainless steel, it just a plastic/rubber moulding that has a chrome-like appearance on the surface. As long as it's in decent shape, it pulls right out without damaging it.
