Spindle Nut Socket / Ball Joint Spanner Wrench

Anyone know the size (mm/in) or PN for the correct spindle nut socket? 85 K20.

The OTC spanner wrench PN for the ball joint I believe is 7080. Are they any good? Dunno. Moog has their own spanner wrench (T40207) as well.

These things have really spiked in price and doesn't look like AZ loans them anymore.

The spindle nut socket is actually a 4 prong socket. There is one size for the 1/2 and 3/4 tons, both D44 and 10 bolt, and another for the 1 tons, the D60. The 14 bolt rear is a 6 prong. Advance Auto has them for about $20 each.

This is the ball joint socket I bought and it held up just fine. People complain that the teeth on them break but they probably don't knock the tapered nut loose with a hammer and punch first.

FWIW OTC was OEM to GM.

How'd you like that alphabet soup?

Actually it was Kent-Moore, but it's all one company now.

They do make excellent tools. Not sure if your amount of use justifies the price.

Think I can get both for around $40. Can always peddle them with the rest of the 'special tools' to recoup some $$.
