I wish I could go...have to take too many days off from work though, to go. That's two days each way from Houston....

Wow, you drive slow. Google maps pegs it at a little over 12 hours.

In our younger days, we'd make a run like that, straight through. Now we'll stop every couple of hours to walk around and make a pit stop. And sometimes it can take two hours just to get out of the Houston area....
Google Maps also uses an average speed of 65-70 mph too, and you're not always going to be able to go that fast.

I plan to be there. Gonna invite a couple of buddies to join me and camp out nearby for a (straight)guys weekend-heat be damned.
