Lookking for replacements on my '79 C30 oil cooler flex hoses, but no luck. They look to be 1/2 ID, but with a weird compression fitting that clamps to the steel hard lines at either end. It's not the normal crimp sleeve to hard line, that's there but with an additional hex nut. I could just cut the line and install clamps/hose, but I'd like to retain the OEM parts.

Anyone know what these are exactly, and does anyone carry them?

Can you get a picture? It sounds like they work just like the fittings/hose you would get from a place like Jeg's. I've never actually seen one of those early oil cooler setups before.

Yeah I will post a pic later when I get out to the garage. The setup is hard lines from the oil filter to in front of the engine mounts, then flex lines to another set of short bent hard lines into the cooler.

I'd love to find the GM part numbers and score them on Ebay, but I'm not hopeful. Probably will just whack and clamp.....which sucks as the truck is near 100% original.

Try Dorman. They have a oil lines for trucks, and Rockauto sales Dorman too.

So I am assuming they are different from later models? I have these on mine.

They must be. Ours don't have any kind of hex fitting.

My '79 originally had an oil cooler too, but it's long gone :(
