Concerning Suburban frames, what are the differences between 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton? Is it just the axles and leaf springs or is there a difference between frame rails too?

The rails are supposed to be ever so slightly thicker. But it varied through the years too.

Ok, thanks. I'm going to have a 4x4 Burb frame left over when the truck project is done so I'm thinking about getting a nice rust free Burb body project to put back on the frame. Seems there is a lot of 2wd big block Burbs for sale and was just thinking it over.

Found these two squares on CL, hopefully someone else hasn't posted them yet. I would love to have the crew cab but I need to finish my projects first. The crew looks to be in good shape especially being a MN truck. The step side truck is rough but aren't these pretty rare guys?
